Job Description

As a Linux Systems Engineer / SRE, you will play a key role in maintaining, improving, and supporting our production platform and services. You will work closely with development teams to ensure our environments remain reliable, secure, up to date, and easy to operate.

You will be responsible for:

• Updating and maintaining Linux operating systems, including patching and upgrades across environments.
• Updating and maintaining hosted software components and services, ensuring stability and minimising downtime.
• Managing backup and recovery plans, including ensuring backups run reliably, and recovery procedures are documented and usable.
• Providing DevOps support to development teams, supporting deployments and troubleshooting issues across infrastructure and applications.
  

You will work primarily with Linux, Bash, Ansible, PHP, SQL and modern DevOps practices.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Linux Systems Engineer / Systems Engineer / SRE (or similar).
• Strong hands-on expertise in Linux system administration and troubleshooting.
• Strong scripting skills in Bash.
• Experience with automation and configuration management using Ansible.
• Working knowledge of PHP and SQL (supporting hosted software, debugging and issue resolution).
• You describe yourself as positive, proactive, and assertive, and you are a team player.
• Strong verbal, written and listening communication skills in English.
• Strong organisational skills with the demonstrated ability to prioritise multiple tasks and deliver results.
  

Extra / Nice to have

• Experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
• Experience working with microservices environments.
• Working knowledge of Node.js.
• Experience with MongoDB and Redis.
